RAIN

Study from the USA

AI and robotics with RAIN, from the United States.

Two cohorts, one on Eastern time and one on Pacific time, each taught by tutors in that time zone.

Your cohort and class times

Classes are live, in your local time, and taught by tutors who live in your time zone. The times stay the same all year, whatever the clocks do.

What you study

AIML: artificial intelligence and machine learning

Python, data science, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, language models and deployment, with a working product every term. Curriculum

RDA: robot development and automation

Electronics, microcontrollers, mechanisms, control, robot arms, drones, ROS-style robotics and embedded AI, practised in the RIDE Lab and the 3D lab. Curriculum

On your own, with the books

Every RAIN book leads to a Professional Certificate you sit online, and comes with the RIDE Lab. The bookshop

The certificate, plainly

RAIN certificates are issued by RAIN in Nigeria. They are not US academic credits and are not accredited by a US accrediting agency. Employers read them alongside the projects you built.

Every certificate can be checked on our public register.

More than a school

RAIN is a research and certification centre for artificial intelligence and robotics. Most of our work is building real products for real problems, and our learners learn by doing the same.

RIDE Lab

Interactive labs in the browser for electronics, robot arms, drones, SLAM, mechanisms, materials, fluid power and machine learning, which also work offline See it

Industrial Mobile Robotic Platform (IMoRP)

A prototype unmanned ground vehicle with a 250 kg payload and 15 hours of endurance, built from locally fabricated and end-of-life parts

Carbon emission tracking drone

A prototype drone that monitors carbon emissions and detects people across forested areas

Companies and universities in the United States

Hire RAIN graduates for remote AI and robotics work, have a product built, or run proctored exams for candidates in many countries. University robotics groups are welcome to propose joint projects.

The one whose times suit you. Learners in Central time usually pick Eastern; learners in Mountain time usually pick Pacific.

Do the times change when the clocks change?

No. Classes stay at the same local times all year.

Is this accredited in the US?

No. It is RAIN training and certification, judged by what you can build.

How is my data handled?

You can refuse advertising and analytics cookies, and change your mind at any time. Read our privacy policy.

Can I see the labs before I pay?
