About the role
RAIN is opening cohorts in the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia and the UAE, and we want tutors who live in those time zones. You teach a small cohort live on Friday evening, Saturday morning and Sunday evening, in your own local time, in RAIN's Hyper-Realistic Virtual School. RAIN provides the curriculum, the books, the slides, the RIDE Lab and the platform; an online programme manager supports every cohort. Tutors in other countries, including India and Nigeria, are welcome for cohorts whose times suit them.
What you will do
- Teach three two-hour live classes a week to your cohort
- Mark assignments and projects on the RAIN platform
- Guide learners through labs in the RIDE Lab and the virtual school
- Hold short check-ins with learners who fall behind
- Work with the programme manager on attendance and progress
What we are looking for
- Strong practical knowledge of AI and machine learning, or of robotics and embedded systems
- Experience teaching, mentoring or leading engineers
- A reliable internet connection, a laptop with a camera and a headset
- Available at the class times in your own time zone
- Clear spoken and written English
