MEET OUR FOUNDER, DR OLUSOLA AYOOLA
Dr. Olusola Ayoola is the Founder and CEO of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN), a leading organisation in artificial intelligence and robotics talent and product development across Africa. With a strong academic background in AI, robotics, and engineering, Dr. Ayoola is a visionary leader committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve critical challenges in sectors like healthcare, national security, education, and sustainability.
He has spearheaded multiple groundbreaking projects, including AI-based solutions such as a Passenger Scream Detection System for Public Buses, Exoskeletons for Upper Limb Dysfunction Rehabilitation, and Carbon Emission Tracker Drones for environmental surveillance.
His work extends to smart devices aimed at improving healthcare outcomes, like the Smart Arm Gyroscopic System for patients with Erb’s palsy and a Smart Drug Dispenser for dementia patients.
Under his leadership, RAIN is also expanding its training programs to 20 cities across Africa, fostering the next generation of AI and robotics experts. Dr. Ayoola's passion for education and knowledge-sharing is evident through his numerous keynote speeches and workshops, including at the prestigious ICARS 2023 Conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and his involvement with the Nigerian Society of Engineers, where he has inspired young engineers to explore career opportunities in AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Dr. Ayoola’s contributions extend beyond RAIN's projects; he is an advocate for developing sustainable technologies to address Africa’s unique challenges. His leadership has earned him recognition as a thought leader in the African tech ecosystem, making him a sought-after speaker and collaborator in global technology and innovation forums.
